The identification process for obtaining the idCAT Certificate, provided for in article 7 of Law 6/2020, of November 11 (law regulating certain aspects of trusted electronic services) , establishes that can issue a certificate on behalf of a third party, as long as the signature on the application has been legitimized by a notary (this certifies that the signature corresponds to the person filling out the document).

The application form for the idCAT Certificate must be filled in, printed from the browser option (Ctrl+P on Windows; Command/Cmd⌘+P on Mac) and taken to the reference notary in order to legitimize.

Once the appropriate procedures have been completed with the notary, you will need to go in person to an idCAT Registration Entity to request the issuance of the digital certificate.
